SilkStart was founded in 2010 on the premise that industry-specific business problems would best be addressed by industry-specific, cloud-based solutions. Since then we have worked to do just that by providing associations and nonprofits with a better solution for handling the complexity of running their organization.
Our vision has grown to be commonly known as ‘vertical SaaS’ or vertical software as a service. It’s based on the premise that vertically integrated software will always be superior to generic broad based solutions that cover a wide variety of verticals. SilkStart was purpose built for member-based organizations, and while the team and the product have evolved, the mission is the same - to move associations into the cloud and onto a connected platform through software designed for member-based organizations.
